My Goals

I can say that I feel I have been successful in all my careers. Okay, maybe my first job as a gift wrapper at JC Penney was not fabulous, but hey, I was making a paycheck and I found I liked money. I moved up through the secretarial field to office manager. I have managed real estate firms, an oil and gas business and an accounting firm. I left to start my own small business consulting company and eventually started working with a non-profit that assists the organ transplant community. It allowed me flexibility with my children and our middle child’s medical appointments.

After the death of our daughter, Kelli, I needed to quit work and

seek help. I was falling apart. Luckily and graciously, my husband told me to do what I needed to do and he supported me in my search for what I wanted to do when I grew up. At 48 years old, some thought I was too old to depart from the working world in search of a new career.

In the course of three weeks and three different people, I coached these folks through a major problem or setback they were having. The week following, my older sister made the light bulb go off in my head when she said, “you have always been good at sorting out the clutter, making a plan and making things happen. You have been doing it since you were a little girl. It was a gift you were born with.”

As I thought about it, I realized that I have coached many people throughout the years, as a consultant as well in my personal life. I am proud, really proud, that I was able to help so many people. I did not know there was a term or career for that sort of thing then, but I soon figured it out.

And that, my friends, is when I decided to become a Life Coach. And I am EXCITED about helping you! Call or e-mail me at 602-400-4423 or
